As if their current anti-homosexuality status wasn't high enough, this takes the cake-yet, still not surprising. Taken from the platform itself: Marriage Licenses – We support legislation that would make it a felony to issue a marriage license to a same-sex couple and for any civil official to perform a marriage ceremony for such. [...] Basically, if someone were to help a gay couple get married, “the GOP would like to see that person serve mandatory jail time.” Although reading these articles makes me sick, I realize that this hatred comes with the world we live in and we must accept that it will always be a part of society we'll have to overcome.
